Remember, water according to the weather, not according to the calendar. We aim for a certain amount of accumulation per week.
"High Temp" refers to high temperatures for the week. For example, if we are hitting even just one high temperature in the 80s during a given week, you should aim for 1 inch accumulation for the week. Hitting the 90s? 1.5 inch per week. 95+? 2 inches per week.
If nature has provided the target accumulation amount for the week via rain, you should not be watering extra, as this can lead to fungal issues. Each watering session (except for when highs below are 80) is aimed at providing ~0.5 inches of accumulation.
